"Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm of your life. It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy." ~Jaques D'ambroise

insanesugarfest: I love that you actually respond to this, I'm the one who said I woul re-follow you just because you're asian, I thought you'd never see it so I did it as anon.
I love your blog, keep dancing dear (;

You’re too sweet :) Thanks, I will!

Anonymous: Tips for fouettes:
As with all turns, make sure that your arms are in line and timed correctly! It seems to me that it's especially important with fouettes so you don't throw off your balance. Also, make sure that your leg always is in front of you at the same spot where you are spotting.
also, just for a different approach, try doing a soutenu instead of a pirouette into the fouettes.

a-ballet-blog: For the person wanting to know how to clean pointes: you can put Calamine lotion over the dirty spots, you can also wipe it off with a dry cloth. Just make sure you never get them wet or they will change shape. Hope that helps!

nothinginlifeistobfeared: I don't understand why people would unfollow you because you are Asian... you post beautiful stuff and great advice and your race has nothing to do with that. don't let it get you down :)

Aw thanks! :)

vanillasmiles: You are supposed to to use a little baking soda and water to clean pointe shoes. Just a little. Helps to pull the dirt out. I haven't done it but girls at my studio have. One girls shoes turned out beautifully and the others were water stained so you have to be very careful. Hope that helps xxx
