escapinghumanity asked: Hey some suggestions for your anons :). 1. To improve flexibility of your feet it;s good for you to stretch them but also strengthen them therabands are good for this as they build the muscles and intrinsics. But you can only do so much as your feet are the way they are and you can only change them so much seeing as there are lots and lots of bones in your feet... It also depends on how old you...
escapinghumanity asked: 2. To improve turn out there are a few things you can do, stretch so that your hips open more. Froggy position (push gently don';t hurt yourself!).. And you can also lay on your back and consciously use your turn out muslces to rotate your legs this is a good exercise especially for devong position :P!
dance-help asked: For the anon who asked about feet flexibility: I highly reccommend getting a theraband or other exercise band. They can help increase feet felxibility, pointe, and strength, as well as ankle strength. Also, toe curls help. Unfortunetly, some people are born with a natural limit of flexibility, but you never know how flexible you can become without trying different methods of improvement!

Ballet and Football lover: What makes Sylvie... →
aurelie-dupont:
..Zakharova is an incredibly divisive ballerina, as you’ve guessed, she’s in a long line of ballerinas of that ilk which all cropped up in the wake of Sylvie Guillem who is without doubt the most controversial ballerina of the past 25 years and who has pretty much set the template for what is…
Anonymous asked: I had to quit ballet/pointe due to financial reasons. and my ankles are so weak I break my foot at least twice a year. Would it be pointless to try to train myself to get back on pointe?

mia-san-mia-deactivated20120328 asked: The only one I know of is Miami City Ballet, and as much as I want to go back, I know they'll never let me come back. Yeah that is pretty far:/ I'll try to figure something out, I just miss it so much.
ohmyguard asked: Well, I'm 21 and I took two semesters of ballet in college, starting when I was 19. I'll be taking it recreationally (fingers crossed), but I don't think I'll ever make pointe. Still, I'd love to learn...
mia-san-mia-deactivated20120328 asked: Boston :(
mia-san-mia-deactivated20120328 asked: So I've been dancing since I was 3. Its my pride and joy and I love it so much. I danced at Miami City Ballet for 7 years. In 2009, my 2 favorite Russian teachers got fired so all of us decided to not go to classes anymore to protest against it. They told me to basically leave the company. I'm only 15 and I've tried SO many other dance studios but nothing is the same as them. What...
sex-and-sequins-deactivated2012 asked: I'm 15 I started ballet when I was 13 and now i'm finally on pointe.♥ Dance has brought so much joy and discipline into my life.. I can honestly say that I couldn't live without it!!
Anonymous asked: I'm a male dancer I've been dancing for 4 years now. Should I go en pointe, I know it's not typical for men to do pointe but I would love to just to help strengthen myself and to understand how to help my partner more effectively
Anonymous asked: To the previous anon, I started ballet at 15, and I love i!. It hasn't taken me long to get things down, and soon I'll be starting pointe, the maturity helps you learn to an extent.
